Typically, there are three phases to a dental implant procedure. All three of which will be guided and tailored to your unique dental needs by Dr. Gamburg to craft a one-of-a-kind smile.
Here at Brielle Dentistry Co., we offer complimentary dental implant consultations as this is arguably one of the most important steps in your dental implant procedure. Here, we’ll discuss your dental concerns, smile goals, medical history, and what you envision for your new smile. We’ll also obtain diagnostics such as digital x-rays and 3D imaging scans to help develop your customized treatment plan. Our consultation allows us to create a treatment plan that is truly tailored to you and your long-term smile goals so you can enjoy your best smile for the rest of your life!
Once we’ve determined your smile goals and created a treatment plan to restore your unique smile, we’ll schedule your dental implant surgery. On this day, you’ll be sedated and resting comfortably. Dr. Gamburg will begin your procedure by following the implant surgical guide created during your consultation to ensure every single step is accounted for and done with precision. If there are any additional procedures needed such as a bone graft, that will be discussed prior to surgery and built into your treatment plan. Once your dental implants are inserted and surgery is finished, we’ll place a temporary restoration for you to begin enjoying your new smile right away!
Over the next 3-6 months, we will give your mouth time to heal through the process of osseointegration – the process of your dental implants fusing with your jawbone. At this appointment, Dr. Gamburg will place your final restoration for you to enjoy for the rest of your life. This permanent restoration is custom milled to match your facial appearance, skin color, and even tooth color to ensure every piece of this process is natural looking. With a proper hygiene routine, your dental implants can last a lifetime.
